Less is More

me again.. hope your enjoying the bank holiday weekend with this lovely weather.. so its another week over at LIM and they have a colour challenge..

 

 

this week we have to choose TWO opposite colours from this Colour Wheel.. and i have chosen BLUE and ORANGE..

 

my card base is cut to A6 in size.. i have used my martha stewart latice punch to cut out a border then i used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink and carefully rubbed the ink over the cut out border..i have used the butterfly wishes additions & die cut ( back in stock) from clearly besotted stamps

Born to Shop

Morning all. and what a lovely day.. firstly i'd like to welcome my latest followers to my blog :) thank you so much.. ok on to my cards..  I had this born to shop stamp as a freebie on a magazine and never really used it, so thought i'd use it to make my sisters birthday cards...

 

I made my card A4 size something i don't really do.. I have coloured her in using chalks and added some glitter to her bags and shoes..

 

 

papers are also born to shop.. the sentiments have been done on my computer..and i'm offering the set i made as a FREEBIE..

there are 8 sentiments in total.. they are a PDF file so you will need Adobe Reader to open it.. just print out onto your favourite card stock..and simply cut them out.

Less is More

Todays card is for the LIM challenge which this week Chrissie & Jen have a sketch for us to follow..

For my card i have kept it very CAS.. i love these kind of cards..for my card i found these stamps out that i've had a while and they are by KARS..

I have coloured the flower stamp using some chalks and added some stardust stickles glitter to finish of..the sentiment is ulso from the same set.. so in all its happy days..lol..

WOYWW

...its been a while since i played along in WOYWW so heres whats on my table this week.. i do really need my own craft room.. but at the moment i have to make do with my dining room table.. so it has to be cleared most days.lol..

 

so heres whats on it at the moment..the sewing machine..it was time for me to make some fresh cushion covers..as well as cardmaking.. baking the list goes on..lol.. i do like sewing.. 

 

 

just a couple more to make  and i'm done..

for my card i have used the butterfly wishes collection, building blocks and die set all availible from clearly besotted stamps

 

 

I have stamped the background using one of the building blocks using black momento ink i then printed out some lime dotty paper availible from Pink Petticoat and die cut using the cuttlebug..

Less is more

hi all hope you've all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend and not eaten to much choccy..lol..its scallops over at Less is more.. and heres my card..

 



for my card i have used kraft card as the base card.. the papers are stella rose (my minds eye) for the scallop effect i have used martha stewarts doily border punch.. and used a die cut for my sentiment.. finished of using pearls and ribbon..

 

 

 

 

 

and just before i go heres what the postie bought be this morning.. some yummy goodies from the lovely mary over at the ribbon girl.. cannot wait to try them out..

and heres what i did with mine i made some favour bags.. fill them with your favourite goodies..perfect for any gift ideas..

 

 

I have used the lilac bloom out of the new collection..printed onto white linen paper.. i made the bags up then to finish them of i used a pair of deckle edged scissors to trim the top of the bags..

Easter themed card

... i cannot believe the weather we are having at the moment.. its a blizard outside..knee deep in snow.. were's the "spring"..

my card base  is white linen card which i got from Papermill direct.. i'm loving this card stock at the moment.. I have used digi stamp easter bea coloured in using prima pencils.. sentiment is my own design.. papers are from nitwit collections which i printed onto white linen card..

Day of Photographing

thought i'd share with you my photographing skills..lol.. i'm no pro (yet) and i'm still learning the basics..

 

 

 the key to taking pictures is to make sure you have enough light souce on your projects.. i find using natural light often gives me best results.. i like to use props when takin my photos as i think it adds interest to the subject that your taking a picture of...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and heres a photo i took of my grand-daughter mia..this photo was taken at night time but with the help of using whats called as a beauty dish as my light souce.. thanks for stopping by :)
